Resolution passed in the National Meet of the VHP

Ayodhya (UP) – A two-day-long national meet was organised in Ayodhya, for its Vidhi Prakoshtha, the legal cell of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). In it, more than 500 advocates and retired judges unanimously passed a resolution opposing same-sex marriages.

The Press note of the Meeting said,
1. There should not be haste in taking a decision about same-sex marriages. The country is facing various issues in the social and economic sectors. This includes the eradication of poverty, free education, the right to a pollution-free environment, population control, etc.
2. Indian culture does not accept same-sex marriages.
