Kanpur (UP) : 8 people arrested in connection with attempted conversion of Hindus

Kanpur (UP) – The Kanpur Police arrested Abhijit and Rajat for trying to convert poor Hindus to Christianity by luring them for good jobs, business, marriage, etc. Additionally, Jeevan, Shivang, Sheetal, Jabin, Ranaji, and one other accomplice have been arrested. Police found books written in the Taiwanese language. They are being interrogated by the anti-terrorist squad, intelligence department, and military intelligence department, respectively.

1. Local citizens had complained that conversions were taking place in this flat. Also, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal visited here and found more than 50 women and men there. VHP official Anand Singh said that here they found materials related to Christianity. About 8 to 10 people were asked to leave Hindu Dharma and become Christians.

2. A laptop was found in the flat and materials about conversion were found in it. In the investigation, information was obtained about 4 people who were lured into conversion. They have admitted the act of conversion. Police are now investigating who was financing the arrested.
