Telangana second, National Capital Region third in consumption
New Delhi – Indians have set a new record of drinking alcohol on the occasion of the New Year. Liquor worth Rs 600 crore was sold in Uttar Pradesh alone on the occasion of New Year. After this, people in Telangana drank liquor worth Rs 402 crore. The National Capital Region is at the third place, where liquor worth Rs 400 crore was sold. In Karnataka, it was Rs 308 crore, while in the State of Kerala, the figure was Rs 108 crore. A total of 600 licenses were issued for the sale of liquor in a single day in Uttarakhand.
