India is a Hindu Rashtra : Dattatreya Hosabale, RSS General-Secretary

Dattatreya Hosabale, RSS General-Secretary

Jaipur (Rajasthan) – India is a Hindu Rashtra because those who created this country were Hindus. All people living in India are Hindus since their ancestors were Hindus. Their manner of worshipping may be different but their DNA is the same, stated Mr Dattatreya Hosabale, the General Secretary of RSS. Hosabale was speaking on ‘Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow’ organised by the Ekatm Manavdarshan Anusandhan Evam Vikas Pratishthan at the Birla Auditorium in Jaipur.

Points presented by GS Hosabale

1. Some people claim that there is no mention of the word Hindu in ‘The Vedas’ and ‘Puranas’. There is nothing in ‘The Vedas’ and ‘Puranas’ which could be non-acceptable to anyone. The truth and useful things have to be accepted.

2. Dr Hedgewar never tried to define who is a Hindu. Those, who accept India’s land as the land of their forefathers, are Hindus; those, whose ancestors are Hindus, are Hindus; Those, who consider themselves Hindus, are Hindus, and those, whom we call Hindus, are Hindus.

3. More than 600 tribes in India used to say that they were different and not Hindus. Anti-Hindu factions provoked them, but Pujya Golwalkar Guruji had said that they were Hindus.

4. We work on the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the whole world is one family)’; therefore, our doors are never closed for anyone.  If anyone has eaten beef out of helplessness, and they have left Dharma; still, we cannot close our doors on them. They can come back to their own Dharma even now.

5. Today, RSS is the focal point of our national life. RSS will continue to work for the people by trying to bring them together. RSS is working at around a lakh of places in the country. Hundreds of RSS members were killed, but our activists are not afraid of anything. RSS is working only in the interest of the country and we are nationalists.
