Islamabad – Protest against the controversial China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in Gwadar in Balochistan has turned violent. Citizen in Gwadar has come to the streets in protest against this project. The agitation is getting more severe day by day and the situation appears to be going out of control. Hence Pakistan has closed the Network and prohibition on crowds is being imposed. Despite this prohibition, the crowds are refusing to accept it. Their agitation continues. China is angry with Pakistan with regard to this protest. ‘Haq Do Tehreek’ is leading the agitation. Therefore, China has taken the lead and commenced dialogue with local leaders along with Chairman Rehman of ‘Haq Do Tehreek ’; but the agitators are not in a mood to listen and hence the dialogue appears to be on the verge of stopping.

More than 100 agitators have been arrested in 5 days
Pakistan has arrested more than 100 agitators from Gwadar, Pasani, Turbat, Makran, and other areas in 5 days. Women agitators are surpassing men.
This is the struggle for our rights and we will continue to oppose – Haq Do Tehreek
The leader of the agitation Maulana Rehman fighting on behalf of Haq Do Tehreek told one News bulletin that the struggle was for maintaining the right of the citizens of Gwadar; so the struggle will continue. The project of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was in the interest of China. China’s intervention might affect our lives. We will not tolerate that.
