NIA arrests 9 persons
New Delhi – A few years ago, the Sri Lankan army had eliminated an organisation in that country viz. the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), but it has been exposed that Pakistan has been reviving and using this organisation for supplying drugs and arms. ‘The Island’, a news agency has reported that ISI, Pakistan’s intelligence agency is reviving LTTE in Tamil Nadu; after which the National Investigating Agency (NIA) arrested 9 persons with drugs and arms. It is learned that Gunasekaran and Pushparajah, the Sri Lankan drug mafia, were in contact with a Pakistani supplier of drugs and arms.

1. An officer from Indian Intelligence Bureau said that attempts were made to revive and link LTTE with Tamil nationalism even in February. A few persons from rural areas were kept under watch and upon receiving relevant information, some of them were arrested. It was found on their interrogation that a few persons from Europe were trying to collect funds for the revival of LTTE and all of them were in contact with a non-governmental organisation in India. They were trying to hold an online seminar on the demand for a separate Tamilian State. It was exposed on the arrest of a Sri Lankan man named Lechumannan Marie Francisca at Chennai airport.
2. Earlier in 2014 also, Pakistan had tried to revive LTTE through some operatives under the supervision of Pakistan’s High Commission located in Colombo. Pakistan was trying to create unrest and violence in various places in India through this module.
3. LTTE was an organisation that demanded a separate country for Tamilians from Sri Lanka. Its agitations, however, slowly became violent; taking the lives of thousands of people. It was led by K Prabhakaran. He was later killed by the Sri Lankan army.

Pakistan is planning to revive LTTE for carrying out anti-India activities. The Indian Government needs to realise that most of the problems faced by India would be over by destroying Pakistan ! |
