Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) – “If religious conversions are not controlled, there will be a very grave situation in this country, said Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotish Peetha, Badrinath while talking to a representative of the ‘Divya Marathi’ news website on various subjects.

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati further said,

“The condition of our country due to religious conversions is obvious to everyone. It is very important that the Government and Courts think over this issue. Supreme Court should take cognizance of this issue on its own and give orders for carrying out amendments; else, we are aware of where it would lead our country. It is a matter of grave concern for everyone. A survey will have to be carried out of all madarasas. Everyone in this country should know what goes on in the madarasas. The Government should have all the data from the survey of madarasas in this country and what goes on in these. People find Muslims’ way of dressing quite intimidating. If a Muslim wears such attire and goes to another country, he has to face more intense interrogation because it has created an impact on their image. People of their community have done something; therefore, such an image has been created internationally”.
