BJP Government in Uttarakhand bans five Patanjali-manufactured drugs

Government has suggested that after having made some changes and getting a new license the drugs can be sold

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) – BJP Government in Uttarakhand has banned five drugs of Yogarushi Ramdevbaba’s Patanjali Group of Companies. These drugs are manufactured in Patanjali’s ‘Divya Pharmacy’. ‘BPgrit, Madhugrit, Thyrogrit, Lipidom and Eyegrit gold’, prescribed for BP, Diabetes, Thyroid, Cataract and high cholesterol respectively are being banned.

1. Licensing departments of Ayurveda and Yunani of the Uttarakhand Government have stated that the advertisements of the abovementioned drugs were delusional.

2. Dr KV Bab in Kerala had filed a complaint in July stating that Divya Pharmacy of Patanjali had consistently violated the ‘Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisement) Act 1954’, ‘Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940’ and ‘Drugs and Cosmetics Rules 1945’.

3. In the order of ban, the Government has stated that Patanjali should obtain a new license by making some changes in the label and thereafter could advertise the drugs. This means that Patanjali can manufacture the drugs by making some changes.

This is a conspiracy of mafia who oppose Ayurveda – Yogarushi Ramdevbaba

While responding to this allegation Yogarushi Ramdevbaba said that they had not received any copy of the said order. The ban on drugs was the conspiracy of drug mafias opposing Ayurveda. The Government department should take action against the guilty by correcting its own mistake, or else should pay for damages suffered by Patanjali. If not then be ready to face legal proceedings.
