The total wealth as declared by the Tirupati temple is 2.26 lakh crore rupees !

10.3 tons of gold and 16 thousand crore deposited in the bank !

Tirupathi (Andhra Pradesh) –  For the first time, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has declared the total wealth of the temple. It includes Rs 5,300 crore in nationalised banks, 10.3 tons worth of gold and 15,938 crores in cash. The total property of the temple is worth around 2.26 lakh crore.

1. Devasthanam Executive Officer A.V. Dharma Reddy said, In the year 2019, there was around 13,025 crore in many banks. This has now increased to 15,938 crores. In the last 3 years, there has been an increase in investment by around 2,900 crores.

2. There is a total of around 960 properties spread across 7,123 acres inside and around the temple premises.

3. The allegation that the Chairman and the Board of the Devasthanam have invested the funds in Government ‘Shares’ of Andhra Pradesh was dismissed. The Devasthanam clarified their stance by saying that they have not done anything of this sort. They clarified that the balance funds of the temple have been invested in ‘Scheduled Banks’.

4. In a clarification issued by the temple, devotees were requested not to believe in fake propaganda and rumours and whatever investments that have been done are transparent and fair.
