‘All India Imam Association’ President Maulana Sajid Rashidi’s incitement

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) – The BJP Government in Uttar Pradesh will conduct a survey of all madarasas from 5th October. Some Muslim organisations, parties and leaders are opposing this. Maulana Sajid Rashidi, President of the ‘All India Imam Association’ also opposed this and said, “Muslims are being tolerant for the moment. The day Muslims stand up for their rights, the Government will not be able to save itself. If anyone brings notice for a survey, welcome them with slippers”.

Mohsin Raza, a former Minister of the State and BJP leader, responded to this incitement of Maulana Sajid Rashidi by saying that statements of people like Rashidi are actually harmful for all madarasas. The Government wants to reform the madarasas by conducting a survey; but if someone makes such statements, the Government will have to deal with them firmly. Action should be taken against Rashidi for this statement.
