Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) – An 8,000-year-old temple has been discovered in excavations in the city of Al-Faw, southwest of Riyadh. There are many symbols and inscriptions on this temple. Sacrificial altars have also been found here, which infers that ‘regular sacrifices and rituals must have been performed here’.

The name of this temple is said to be ‘Rock-cut temple’. An inscription found here is said to contain information about the God ‘Kahal’. It is not yet clear what religion the people here belonged to. Graves have also been found near this temple.
