Jagdalpur Medical College in Chhattisgarh, infested with thousands of rats

Bastar (Chhattisgarh) – Thousands of rats have infested the Jagdalpur Medical College in the district of Bastar. It is estimated that at least 5,000 rats have infested this college. The cost incurred in the setting up of this college was almost 7 crore rupees, and in this very same college, it has been found that the rats are drinking the glucose meant for the patients. Along with this, it has been found that the wires of the machines are also getting chewed up, causing problems for the patients. Many patients have also complained about the rats biting them.

A Contract has been given to a pest control company to kill the rats

The college administration has contracted a private establishment to kill the rats. The administration has claimed that this extermination process will cost around 10 – 12 Lakhs. The pest control company is currently killing and burying around 50 rats per day. Around 1,500 rats have been killed in the last month.
