Patiala (Punjab) – Unidentified people put up Khalistani posters on the wall of the famous Kalimata temple in Patiala, Punjab. The Police tore down the posters. Former CM of the State Captain Amarinder Singh has demanded strict action against those who put up the posters. On 29th April 2022, supporters of Khalistan entered this temple and beat up Hindu devotees. After the incident, Police security around the temple increased. Despite Police security and paramilitary force, people are surprised that such posters could be pasted on the temple wall.

1. After the incident, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, the overseas leader of the banned Khalistani terrorist organisation Sikhs for Justice, released a video and praised the people for putting up the posters.

2. On 30th June 2022, Khalistan supporters wrote the date of Operation Blue Star and also that Punjab will become independent on 26th January, on the wall of the Punjab Armed Police Headquarters in Jalandhar. Operation Blue Star refers to the action taken against the Khalistani terrorists in 1984 in the Golden Temple at Amritsar.

Editorial Viewpoints

  • Khalistani activities are increasing day by day in Punjab. The Central Government must pay attention to it and take strict measures immediately.
  • Were the Police asleep when the Khalistani dared to do such an act despite the Police security ? Such an incident is shameful for the Aam Aadmi Party Government and the Punjab Police.
