Instructions from the MHA to the State Govts to stay alert

The threat of attack on the Kanwar pilgrims by the Jihadis !

New Delhi – The Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed the State Governments to be alert as there are chances of an attack on the Kanwar pilgrims by the Jihadis. This instruction has been given to Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, etc and orders to tighten the security of the Kanwar pilgrims have been issued. The Railway Board has also been instructed to tighten security on trains in view of the threat.

The Kanwar pilgrims reach Haridwar and Rushikesh to fetch the holy water of River Ganga and perform the ‘Abhishek’ on Deity Shiva at home or in the Shiva temple.

Editorial viewpoint

If Balasaheb Thackeray was alive today, he would have announced that even if a single Kanwar pilgrim is attacked, no one will be allowed to go to the Haj Yatra from the Country !
