218 casualties due to heavy rains in 25 States in the country : Disrupted public life

New Delhi – 218 have been killed In Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya  (MP) due to flood-like situations and the damage caused. In addition to Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, MP, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala, 17 other States have recorded heavy rainfall. In the past 24 hours, 14 people have died in rain-related incidents in Gujarat; in Maharashtra, the number of victims is 84.  Till now, the rainfall has been recorded in the country 11% more than the average. In Telangana 68.2mm, Maharashtra 43mm, and Chhattisgarh 35.8mm of rain has been recorded.

Five Districts in Gujarat are on high alert

Valsad, Navsari, Dang, Junagadh, Gir and Somnath Districts have been on high alert. 31,000 people in all over Gujarat have been moved to safe places. So far 83 people have died in Gujarat.

As per the weather report, 22.8” inches of rain has been recorded in Bhopal now. This is more than the average till now. In the last 24 hours, the record of rain in Indore is nearly 3 inches.

Rivers and drains are flooding in Districts Betul and Harda due to heavy rains. The Narmada River has crossed the danger level. There are chances of heavy rains in the Narmadapuram area, Khandwa, and Burhanpur city.
