
New Delhi – Mohammad Tariq Aziz, a man who travelled from Dubai, has been arrested at the International Airport here for laying the Indian national flag on the floor and offering namaz by standing over it. He has been charged under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. The incident took place on 8th May and has now come to light. Aziz is originally from Assam.

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel stationed at the airport took Aziz into custody after they found his activities to be suspicious and handed him over to Delhi Police. Aziz could not answer the questions properly. Aziz was later booked by the Police under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971.
