The Court accepts the petition for a survey of the Shahi Eidgah Mosque in Mathura

Mathura (UP) – A petition was filed in the Varanasi Court seeking a survey and filming of the Shahi Eidgah Mosque at the birthplace of Shrikrushna in Mathura following the survey of the Gyanvapi Mosque. The Court accepted the petition. A hearing will be held on July 1st, 2022. Separate petitions were filed by Manish Yadav, Mahendra Pratap Singh and Dinesh Sharma. All petitions were accepted by the Court, and the hearing has been set for 1st July.

1. Manish Yadav’s advocate, Devkinandan Sharma, suspected that the Muslim party would remove the inscription in the Eidgah. This evidence can be destroyed. Thus, all evidence should be collected and filmed in the presence of both parties.

2. According to Mahendra Singh, he had previously filed a petition on 24th February 2021, requesting filming of the hearing and the appointment of a Court Commissioner. However, no decision was made. As a result, the petition was filed again on 9th May 2022.

3. The advocate for Shahi Eidgah Mosque, Tanveer Ahmed, said Hindu parties have been filing various petitions for the past two years. However, they have no idea about what they want to convey from it. There is no need to film the two shrines in Mathura since they are different.

4. Earlier, the Allahabad High Court had directed that all petitions pertaining to Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Eidgah Masjid must be disposed of within the next four months.

Court decision on the demand for removal of mosque on Shrikrushna Janmabhoomi will be given on 19th May
