Pakistan agitated that in Karnataka, Hanuman Chalisa is recited at the time of Azaan
Islamabad (Pakistan) – Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has made agitated comments about the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa at Azaan time in India. The Foreign Ministry has said in its letter that these incidents have happened because of the anti-Azaan statements made by the Chief of Sri Ram Sena. The anti-Azaan activity in the BJP-ruled State of Karnataka is condemnable. The Modi Government is a silent spectator to this. The intention behind these actions is not to allow Muslims to exercise their fundamental right to practice their religion. This exposes the anti-Muslim thought of the Indian Government and society. International Organisations should intervene in the context of these activities happening in India. Pakistan has asked them to take a stance about the religious independence of the Muslims in India.

The Pakistan Foreign Ministry adds that there should be an independent inquiry about the incidents of violence against the minority, primarily Muslim, religious places in India. India should stop such incidents from occurring.
