Colombo (Sri Lanka) – Sri Lanka is on the verge of bankruptcy. Sri Lankan Prime Minister resigned amid a state of emergency. Opposition parties have been demanding his resignation in the past few weeks. Before resigning PM Rajapaksa said, “I am ready to make any sacrifice for the people”.

There is a demand to form an interim, Government of all the Parties in Sri Lanka. This was rejected before, but now with Rajapaksa’s resignation, there is a possibility of forming such a Government.
