Former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif attacked in London

Suspicion of PM Imran Khan’s party’s involvement in the attack.

Islamabad (Pakistan) – Former PM of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif was attacked on the 2nd of April in London. The attackers are suspected to be members of PM Imran Khan’s political party, PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf). Security personnel of Nawaz Sharif was also injured in the attack. The attack was carried out just a day before the no-confidence voting against the ruling party in Pakistan. The opposition party has nominated the brother of Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif as the potential Prime Ministerial candidate.

Reacting to the incident, Nawaz Sharif’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif reacted by saying, political leaders from the PTI must be imprisoned for using violence as an option and PM Imran Khan is also a part of this. They must be trialled for being traitors.
