Hindus in Pakistan have been insecure since the partition of India. Their genocide continues unabated. The Hindu population in Pakistan was 22% during the time of partition, which has now decreased to 3% at an alarming rate and nobody talks about it. This is the hypocrisy of secular, progressive human rights organisations. |

1. According to Human Rights activists, it is not the first-time minority girls or women and civilians have been attacked. Christian and Hindu girls are forcibly converted every year. Many Human Rights groups have criticised the Pakistani Government for failing to take the necessary action against such rising crime.
2. The provincial Government in Sindh tried to ban forcibly conversions and marriages; but the bill was opposed by religious fanatics, who said that girls convert to Islam out of love for a Muslim man.
3. According to the People’s Commission for Minority Rights and the Center for Social Justice, 156 cases of forcible conversion were registered with the Police between the years 2013 and 2019.
4. According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, out of the total population of Pakistan 1.60%, while in Sindh 6.51% are Hindus. Pakistan’s Sindh Province is home to the largest number of Hindus. They adapt to the Muslim community’s culture and language; but in the last few years, there has been an increase in violence against minority women in the area.
