Moscow (Russia) – Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has said that sanctions imposed on Russia by Western nations were akin to a declaration of war. He was speaking at an event. Putin also warned that any attempt to declare a ‘no-fly zone’ over Ukraine would have serious consequences for Europe and the world. NATO has rejected Ukraine’s request for declaring Ukraine air space a ‘no-fly zone’; doing so would be tantamount to inciting Russia to a major war’, it said.

Russia’s Central Bank has been hit hard by Western sanctions in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Establishments are banned from doing business in Russia.

Russian troops have seized a psychiatric hospital in the Ukrainian city of Borodyanka. There are reportedly 670 patients in that hospital. Oleksiy, Governor of the region, said, ‘Today we do not understand how to evacuate these people, how to help them. They are in constant need of water and medicine. Many of them have been bedridden for years’.
