In the history of ‘Love Jihad’ Hindus attacking a Muslim youth has never happened; but in such cases when Hindu youth love Muslim young girl, many examples can be cited in which the Muslim family members killing the Hindu young men. Hence, Hindus should boycott the film showing Hindus as religious fanatics through such kind of false story.
Hindus do not expect films showing Hindus being fierce when BJP Government is at the Centre and Censor Board gives them permission.
Love Jihad incidents are being encouraged through such incidents in films in which Muslim actors are shown marrying Hindu actresses. If we intend to stop ‘Love Jihad’ then Hindi films need to be discouraged.

Mumbai – It appears that ‘Love Jihad’ is being encouraged through the film ‘Atarangi Re’. In this film actor Akshay Kumar is playing the role of the Muslim youth ‘Sajjad’ and actress Sara Ai Khan is playing the role of the Hindu young girl Rinku. Both are shown loving each other. In this story, Rinku’s family members burn Sajjad alive. So in this film, Hindus are portrayed as merciless and Muslims as victims. An attempt is made to convey (To viewers) how Shriram’s heirs are fierce. They have tried to portray an image that Hindus who perform puja, havan, etc., kill also.

Anti-Hindu points in the film

1. The heroine in the film is shown belonging to the ‘Suryavanshi Thakur’ family. The family is depicted as Deity Shriram’s heirs, but the men and women in this family are shown inhuman.

2. Rinku’s parents compel Rinku to marry a Tamilian youth. His name is ‘Vishu’. Rinku tells him that ‘Vishu’ happens to be a Deity’s Name and asks him his worldly name.

3. Rinku wishes to marry a young man whose name happens to be ‘Sajjad’. Rinku loves him in her imagination and not in reality. In one of the scenes, Sajjad tells Rinku that he was himself Ram and ‘Vishu’ was Ravan.

4. In fact, Sajjad happens to be Rinku’s father. Rinku’s mother loves him. She marries Sajjad. Rinku happens to be their child. Having been annoyed due to this marriage, the family members of Rinku’s mother burn Sajjad alive. Rinku happens to love this Sajjad only in her imagination, but she hides this from the family members.

Devout Hindus started a Twitter trend #Boycott_Atrangi_Re on 28th December against the movie Atrangi Re. This trend soon topped in national trend for about 2 hours. Through this trend, more than 35,000 tweets were posted to protest against the movie Atrangi Re.
