Regarding a demand to ban Sanatan Sanstha

Why is Raza Academy not being banned ? : Asks BJP MLA Mangalprabhat Lodha

Mumbai- Expressing serious concern over the death threats received by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s son Aaditya Thackeray, State’s Skill Development Minister Nawab Malik on 23rd December said they suspect it to be connected with the organisations responsible for the murders of activists Govind Pansare and Narendra Dabholkar.

“It is very unfortunate that those who seek pardon for terrorists also demand a ban on Sanatan Sanstha. Raza Academy held demonstrations in Maharashtra, yet no one demanded a ban on it. Therefore, instead of banning Sanatan Sanstha, why Raza Academy is not being banned”, thundered BJP MLA Mangalprabhat Lodha in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

“The demand to ban Sanatan Sanstha is by all means a blind and stereotyped demand. While a threat received by the Minister has to be condemned and authorities are already investigating it, there is no reason why Sanatan Sanstha, which is absolutely harmless, should be dragged into this controversy. These very people who paint Sanatan Sanstha as villain of the piece, keep mum when other outfits indulge in conversions, some others harp on their personal laws, no matter if it leads to social disharmony. Recently, Raza Academy incited riots in Amravati, Nanded, etc.; however, no demand was made to ban it. The PFI has killed more than 27 Hindu leaders, carried out 108 religious riots and converted 5,000 Hindus. Yet there is no demand to ban the PFI”, said Journalist Mr Unmesh Gujarathi.

Mr Chetan Rajhans

Mr Chetan Rajhans (Spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha) has expressed his gratitude to MLA Mangalprabhat Lodha for refuting in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly the insistent demand of banning Sanatan Sanstha.

Mr Chetan Rajhans added, “Nawab Malik and Chhagan Bhujbal have made baseless allegations against Sanatan Sanstha. The allegations are false and politically motivated. The intention behind this is once again to defame a Hindu organisation, and thus, defame Hindutva. Despite restrictions during the corona pandemic, thousands of Raza Academy activists wrought riots in Maharashtra. But Chhagan Bhujbal did not utter a word to condemn it. When Congress workers openly threatened to behead Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi (aka Wasim Rizvi of Shia Waqf Board), Chhagan Bhujbal did not bother to say a word to condemn the threat. However, he is demanding a Nationwide ban on Sanatan Sanstha without any evidence. There is an English proverb – ‘Give a dog a bad name and hang it’. This is exactly what anti-Hindu forces are trying to do with Sanatan Sanstha. We strongly condemn all these machinations”.
