Shriram was Maryadapurushottam. ‘Godse Zindabad’ trends on Twitter on the day of Gandhiji’s Jayanti, who worked to bring the people together’, Varun Gandhi, BJP MP, said while interacting with Anganwadi workers and other female staff in his Pilibhit constituency.

Varun Gandhi further said, ‘I have not come here to appeal to Chief Minister or Prime Minister. I have come to do politics for the country. Today the whole country is sitting in front of me. There is no Hindu, no Muslim, no leader, no backward. By making such a distinction, we are weakening India. Now it is time to say, Jai Hind, not Jai Shriram’.
