Srinagar (J&K) – In the last 31 years, jihadi terrorists have killed 1,724 people in Kashmir. Out of which, only 89 people were Kashmiri Hindus, all others were Muslims, such information was provided by the Srinagar District Police Headquarters last month to a person from Haryana under the Right to Information petition.

While the data provided to a second RTI application showed 88% (1.35 lakh people) of the 1.54 lakh people of the State who migrated from the valley since 1990 due to increasing violence and tension were Kashmiri Pandits. The remaining 18,735 people were Muslims.
- The person who applied for the Right to Information alleged that the Police Headquarters has omitted the details of the rehabilitated Kashmiri Hindus from the information provided by them.
- Replying to a query in Rajya Sabha on 15th December Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said that from January 2017 to 30th November 2021, 37 to 40 civilians were killed every year in Jammu and Kashmir.
