Protect Christians in Karnataka : Meghalaya BJP Minister Sanbor Shullai writes to PM Modi

Editorial Comments

  • How many Hindu Ministers escalate to Prime Minister Modi for the protection of Hindus in the country ?
  • Christians, no matter which party they belong to, raise their voice for the protection of Christians. How many Hindu politicians do that ?
  • Has BJP’s Sanbor Shullai ever written to the Prime Minister for ending the forcible conversion of Hindus by some Christians ?

Shillong (Meghalaya) – Labour Minister Sanbor Shullai, the only BJP Minister in the Meghalaya Government, has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking for the protection of Christians in Karnataka.

Karnataka Government will be conducting a survey of the Christians in the State. So, Shullai has urged PM Modi to intervene in the survey. Such a survey is unconstitutional and creates a sense of distrust among Christians in the State, he said. BJP has only 2 MLAs in Meghalaya. The State is led by the National People’s Party and the BJP.

Shullai in the letter requested PM Modi to note the views of Archbishop Peter Machado and the Christians of Karnataka. He said India has a secular image globally and such a survey could tarnish its image.
