No record of death of farmers during protests, so no question of compensation : Union Agriculture Minister

Families of the farmers who died in the farmers’ protest demand compensation

New Delhi – The Central Government has issued a clarification in Parliament regarding the demand for compensation to the families of farmers killed during the protest for repeal of farm laws. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar said, ‘The Government had no record of those killed during the farmers’ protest. The Ministry of Agriculture has no such record. Therefore, there is no question of compensating their relatives’.

Suspend the MPs who did not allow the functioning of the Parliament and also recover the losses incurred by wastage of time from them !

On 1st December, the third day of the winter session of Parliament, the proceedings in both the Houses began in chaos. Opposition parties have been causing a ruckus over the suspension of 12 MPs for the rest of the winter session. These MPs were suspended for creating ruckus during the monsoon session. As a result, both the houses were adjourned till noon. Opposition parties are demanding the revocation of suspension of the MPs, whereas, the Speaker has sought an apology from the suspended MPs. Opposition parties have stated that the MPs will not issue an apology.
