Why should such a demand be raised ? Why don’t the Police and the Administration take initiative on their own and ban the illegal sale of marijuana and bomb-making material ? |
New Delhi – There is a demand to ban the US-based company Amazon after it emerged that some bomb-making chemicals which are banned in the country and marijuana were readily available to consumers on Amazon’s e-portal.

On 24th November, the Confederation of All India Traders ( CAIT) staged protests in more than 1,200 cities in over 500 Districts across different States of the country.
Amazon caught in a controversy over 2019 Pulwama terror attack case. Chemicals for making the bombs used in the Pulwama terror attack were reportedly purchased from Amazon. CAIT warned Amazon to follow the rules and regulations laid down for trade in the country or leave India. Are the laws in the country different for commoners and large establishments asked CAIT ? CAIT also warned that if no concrete action was taken in the case then the traders in the country would stop the trade in India.
