The Bar Council of India took action
Lucknow (UP) – Bar Council of India has suspended 28 lawyers for filing fake Insurance claims. After the revelation of the scam, Allahabad High Court had ordered Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter. Insurance companies have been defrauded for 300 crore rupees. High Court had also ordered the Bar Council to investigate concerned lawyers and submit a report within three months. The investigation has been going on for the last six years.
