The inhuman killing of a youth at the farmers’ agitation site near the Delhi border

Murder on the accusation of desecrating Sikh scripture ‘Shri Guru Granth Sahib’

Editorial comment

When Quran, Shri Guru Granth Sahib, etc. are desecrated, their followers take the law in hand. But when Hindu scriptures and Deities are denigrated then how is it that everything is so calm ? Even if Hindus try to protest legally, the protest is suppressed in the name of freedom of expression. Realise that all the secularists and the progressives are silent over this incident.

New Delhi – For the past few months, farmers have been protesting on the Singhu border in Delhi against the central Government’s farm laws. A youth’s arm and leg were cut off and later he was killed by a Sikh for allegedly desecrating the Sikh’s Holy book ‘Shri Guru Granth Sahib’. The body of the youth was found hanging on the barricade of the main site of the farmers’ protests. The deceased youth is said to be from Taran Taran in Amritsar. The Nihanga group, also known as the Sikh Warriors Group, is accused of killing the youth. Some videos of the murder are circulating on social media.

Police rushed to the scene after getting information about the incident. They had to face severe opposition; however, the Police seized the body and registered a case against the unidentified assailants.
