
Washington (US) – The US Foreign Ministry revealed that the US stockpile consisted of 3,750 nuclear weapons till 30th September 2020. It was 3,805 in 2019 while 3,785 in 2018. Former US President Donald Trump had banned to reveal of the US nuclear weapons stockpile. Now the Biden administration has reversed the previous administration policy and revealed the inventory of nuclear weapons. The US administration has stated that maintaining transparency in the stockpile of nuclear weapons is essential.

The number of nuclear weapons is the least after the US-Russia cold war in 1967. The US possessed 31,255 nuclear weapons during the cold war.
