New Delhi – The National Medicinal Plant Board (NMPB) has recommended the application of Anu Oil or Sesame Oil in the nose as a preventive treatment for Covid-19. The use of these oils to reduce the severity of the disease along with prevention has been shown to reduce the number of toxins in the lungs and reduce the severity of pneumonia.

The coronavirus infection begins to spread from the upper part of the trachea (respiratory tract). This infection affects the patient’s lungs and makes it difficult to breathe. As a solution to this, it is necessary to try to prevent the virus from entering the trachea. For this, Anu Oil or Sesame Oil should be applied in the nostrils, the board has said. Lung infections are less common in Covid patients using Anu Oil than the patients not using it; however, the lung infections in the patients who used Sesame Oil did not show much difference. However, the treatment with Anu Oil reduced the number of toxins and reduced the severity of the disease.
