Speaking against the Taliban is blasphemous in Pakistan : Rahat Austin, Human Rights Activist, Pakistan

Why can the Indian Government not understand what a Human Rights Activist of Pakistani origin can ?

Editorial comments

  • The so-called secularists in India who claim that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is anti-Muslim, never talk about the pathetic state of Hindus in Pakistan.
  • Those who do not utter a word of protest against blasphemy laws in Pakistan give lectures on ‘freedom of expression’ if Hindu sentiments are hurt. O’ Hindus ! Realise the Hindu-hatred of such people and oppose them lawfully.

Rahat Austin, Human Rights Activist, Pakistan

New Delhi – Some months ago, under the charges of blasphemy an 8-year-old Hindu boy was arrested in the town of Bhong in Pakistan’s Punjab Province for urinating in a local madarasa. As a result, the oppressive blasphemy law in Pakistan once again came to light. Against this backdrop, Rahat Austin, who is fighting for the human rights of Pakistan’s minorities, said that speaking against the Taliban in Pakistan tantamounts to blasphemy. The situation in Pakistan is dire for the minorities. A correspondent of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ who contacted Rahat Austin over the telephone was informed of this.

Austin said, “Hundreds of local religious fanatics attacked the Ganapati Temple in Bhong based on the actions of an innocent Hindu boy. The Idols of Hindu Deities were smashed in the process. However, now that all the allegations against the concerned boy have been found to be baseless, the charges against him have been dropped. Even so, the family is still in protective custody of the Police since there is a threat to them from religious fanatics”

Austin has made shocking revelations about religious fanaticism in Pakistan. The information given by him is as follows.

1. Any excuse is enough for religious fanatics in Pakistan to attack temples and minorities. The annihilation of Hindu Dharma and Hindus is the only program of the majority there. As a result, the number of minorities in Pakistan is dwindling day by day.

2. Idols of Hindu Deities are smashed when temples in Pakistan are attacked. After that, the Idols are never installed again. Only the pictures of Hindu Deities are kept in the temple. It is like ‘after raping a woman, dressing her well and cleaning the place’.

3. Due to the violence in Bhong city, 150 Hindu families had fled. Only a few of those families have returned. Many families have not yet returned due to the terror.

4. In Pakistan, the more educated a person is, the more fanatical he is. As an advocate, I can say that judges are more fanatical than Court clerks and think only based on religion. I have been experiencing this since 2009.
