• Would the secularists, so-called progressives and all those who believe in the concept of equality of religions notice that none of the Muslim organisations or their leaders has opposed the Taliban ? Or do they support the Taliban ?

Sambhal (UP) – Shafiqur Rahman Barq, Samajwadi Party MP extended his support to the Taliban getting control over Afghanistan saying, Taliban is a force that did not allow even strong countries like Russia and the US to settle in Afghanistan. Afghans wanted freedom from the US under the leadership of the Taliban. Afghans want to run their own country. It is their personal matter. He added that India has no danger from Afghanistan because India is a strong country. He tried to defend the Taliban by equating them with India’s freedom fighters.
