Naxal activities should have been eliminated in the country during the last 6 decades. However, the decline in Naxal activities every year is negligible. It is disgraceful for all the political parties.
New Delhi –The number of civilians killed in the Naxal attacks in 2020 has negligibly declined as compared to the last two years. There were 665 Naxal attacks reported in 2020 as compared to 670 attacks in 2019. The number of civilians killed in the attacks was 240 in 2018, 202 in 2019 and it is 183 in 2020. By 30th June 2021, Naxals have attacked the industries 24 times. In an attack in Chhattisgarh, 22 security personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were martyred, and 5 Left Wing Extremists (LWE – Naxals) were killed.
