Anti-Conversion Bill will also be passed in Assam

The Bill will apply to both, Hindus and Muslims – Chief Minister

Guwahati (Assam) – BJP Government in Assam is going to pass a Bill opposing ‘Love jihad’. State Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that they would not use the word ‘Love jihad because when a Muslim marries a Hindu woman by cheating, it does not mean Love jihad. If a Hindu man also behaves in the same way, then it also will be considered as Love jihad. (Basically, ‘Love jihad’ is originated from the religious fanatic mindset. This is a conspiracy of religious fanatics to target Hindu young girls and attack Hindu Dharma. It is a topic worth researching to find, ‘How many Hindu youth are trapping Muslim young girls to target Islam ? Hindus feel that applying the same rule to Hindus as well as Muslims under secularism should be stopped. – Editor) This Law will stop such incidents.

Ten States in the Nation have Anti-Love jihad law

Tamil Nadu was the first State to have passed this law but cancelled it in 2003. Presently, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Orissa have passed the Anti-Love-jihad law. The guilty is sentenced to 5 years imprisonment in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan; whereas, with regard to Scheduled castes and Scheduled tribes, the said imprisonment is for 7 years. In Uttar Pradesh, the sentence is for 10 years.
