New Delhi – Bank of America stated in a report, “30 lakh Information Technology (IT) employees may lose their jobs by 2022 due to automation in the sector. This will help the IT companies to save $100 billion (Rs. 7 lakh 33 thousand crore) mostly in salary”.

According to Nasscom, around 1 crore 60 lakh people work in IT sector in India. Ninety lakh out of them are employed in low-skilled services and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) roles.
