New Delhi – A senior Government Official said, “4 Indian women who joined Islamic State, a jihadi terrorist outfit in Afghanistan will not be allowed to return to India”. These women are now imprisoned in Afghanistan. Their husbands died in various attacks here. These women had surrendered in December 2019. They are identified as Sonia Sebastian alias Ayisha, Merrin Jacob alias Mariyam, Nimisha alias Fathima Isa and Raffeala.

Ahmad Zia Saraj, the head of the National Directorate of Security of Afghanistan said, “408 terrorists of the Islamic State from 13 countries are locked up in Afghanistan prisons. They include 4 Indians, 16 Chinese, 299 Pakistanis, 2 Bangladeshis, 2 from Maldives and others”.
