Anti-Hindu face of Facebook
|
Mumbai – Facebook has removed Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s ‘Hindu Adhiveshan’, Sanatan Prabhat’s ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ and ‘Sanatan Shop’ pages. Especially, ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ and ‘Sanatan Shop’ pages have been completely removed. Facebook did not issue any warning or cite any reason regarding the suspension either to HJS or Sanatan Prabhat. ‘Hindu Adhiveshan’ was a verified page with 14,45,000 followers. Apart from this, HJS’ 18 out of 28 State level pages were also suspended by Facebook. All the pages regularly post about the current affairs of the Nation and Dharma, as well as educational posts related to Dharma. HJS told that all the posts and publications were carried within a legal framework.
Facebook has not officially responded to the emails regarding the matter even after several days have lapsed. HJS has already started a legal action against Facebook for its unlawful suspension of the pages.
Sanatan Prabhat’s Facebook page taken down
Sanatan Prabhat, a newspaper, had more than 7,500 followers on its Facebook page. The page regularly posts about the assaults on Nation and Dharma, educational posts related to Dharma, and thoughts by Saints.
‘Sanatan Shop’ page removed too
Sanatan Shop’s Facebook page had 5,600 followers. This page posts about Sanatan’s books and texts on various topics. The topics involved Ayurveda, Spirituality, adverse times, festivals and religious observances, education for children, etc. The page was removed by Facebook. Sanatan has emailed Facebook for restarting the page; however, Facebook has not responded yet.
HJS’ official page was taken down in 2012 too, without citing any reason. Last year too, Facebook had taken down Sanatan Sanstha’s page and a Hindu hardliner MLA T Raja Singh’s official page without citing a reason. Earlier, Facebook had also removed the ‘Sudarshan News’ page run by devout Hindu Editor Suresh Chavhanke and ‘Op India’ page, a nationalist and pro-Hindu news portal.
Facebook’s hypocrisy and hatred for Hindus
Facebook Pages of Jihadi organisations – Popular Front of India (PFI), Raza Academy – and the ideal of jihadi terrorists Dr. Zakir Naik’s (Who fled India) are still operational. Dr. Zakir Naik’s ‘Islamic Research Foundation’ has been banned. Zakir Naik has not 1, but 4 Facebook Pages. He has millions of followers. ‘Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti’, which seeks to break norms, traditions and beliefs of Hindu Dharma and is associated with Naxals also has a Facebook Page. In July 2020, Facebook banned a Page in memory of Gauri Lankesh (A journalist from Bengaluru, who was accused of links with anti-Hindus and Naxals). The Page immediately resumed when it was opposed by communists and so-called secularists. A Facebook representative also said, “We apologize for this mistake.” |
Appeal to devout Hindus and pro-Hindu organisationsThe anti-Hindu behaviour of Facebook has been experienced by Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in the same way as others. The Facebook Pages of many pro-Hindu organisations which are selflessly working in society to serve the Nation & Dharma may also have been banned. In this regard, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has appealed to all devout Hindus and Hindu organisations serving Dharma to inform HJS if Facebook has banned their Pages without any notice. HJS will definitely help you in this regard. Information should include the name of the organisation, link to the Facebook Page, member number and contact number.
