Current Govt. is attempting to make India a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ – Sikh body SGPC alleges

What’s wrong if the current Government. makes India a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ ? Why do Sikhs have to worry in a state ruled by the Hindus ? While it is historically evident as to whose tyranny did Hindus and Sikhs fell prey to, why is Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) talking on the lines of Pakistani propaganda ?

New Delhi – SGPC has alleged that the current Government is attempting to make India a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ and RSS is conspiring to change the history and principles of the Sikh religion. This allegation came in the backdrop of the allegation made by BJP leader R P Singh accusing SGPC of failing to contain the conversion of Sikhs. (Sikhs are being converted by Christian missionaries on a large scale in Punjab. SGPC should have told what measures it is taking to stop this conversion; however, it did not. Thus, the allegations made against SGPC might have substance in it,– Editor)

Sukhdev Singh Bhura Kohna, Additional Secretary of SGPC, said that R P Singh is being ignorant. He has not read the history of Sikhs and should read it. When Aurangzeb was trying to establish Dar-ul-Islam in India (i.e. Islamist India), Hinduism was in grave danger. It was Guru Tegh Bahadur who responded to the calls made by Kashmiri Hindus and achieved martyrdom in Delhi. (SGPC should remember this history instead. – Editor) The current  Government in centre is following the footsteps of Aurangzeb. The only difference being Aurangzeb wanted to establish Islamist India, while the current rulers want to establish Hindu rule in India. (Sikhism is a sect just as various sects in Hinduism. Thus, their culture, conduct and traditions are just like those of Hindu’s. Given this fact, it is apparent how Hinduphobic is SGPC, who doesn’t even acknowledge their identity. – Editor) Current rulers are intolerant towards other religions, cultures and languages.

Release the Sikhs arrested in Nanded scuffle!

Speaking on the scuffle that took place between the Police and Sikh hooligans after the Covid-19 norms were violated during Hola-Mohalla celebration in Shri Nanded Sahib Gurudwara, SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the Police has arrested 300 people in this case. They are being tortured. (SGPC should also comment about attacking the Police with swords, setting Police vehicles on fire! – Editor) This action is reprehensible. She also demanded that Maharashtra  Government should release the arrested Sikhs.
