9 people awarded death sentence, 4 women get life imprisonment in Bihar’s Gopalganj hooch tragedyJudgement pronounced after four and a half years!

It is not expected that such a prolonged amount of time should be taken to pronounce the judgement in such a grave tragedy involving the death of 19 people.

Gopalganj (Bihar) – On 16^th August 2016, 19 people were killed and six people lost their eyesight due to consumption of illicit liquor in Khajurbanni. Nine of the accused were sentenced to death and four women to life imprisonment by Gopalganj Court. One of the accused died during the trial.
