1. The Supreme Court observed that in a prolonged live-in relationship over many years if either the man or woman does not agree to a conclusive marriage, then an allegation of rape by one on the other does not hold good.
2. Two people who were working together in a call center were in a live-in relationship for five years. The man then went on to wed another woman. In retaliation, his former companion filed a rape case against him, claiming that he had raped her for 5 years under false promise of marriage.
