Istanbul (Turkey) – A Turkish court has sentenced a Muslim cleric Adnan Oktar to 1075 years in prison under the charges of sexual abuse, child sex abuse, cheating, political and military espionage, etc. Two of his aides – Tarkan and Oktar, were also convicted and sentenced to 211 years and 186 years in prison respectively. (Absurd punishment! Do humans even live that long? – Editor) Adnan ran an online religious channel. He was often pictured with scantily clad women dancing around him as he preached about the mysteries of human lives and fundamental ideologies on his shows.

1. One of the victimes told the court that Adnan used to force women he sexually abused, to take birth control pills. 69 birth control pills were seized from Adnan’s house.
2. Adnan admitted of having over 1000 ’lovers’. He also told the court, ‘I have great affection for women. Love is a basic human trait and love making is the characteristic of a Muslim person.’
