Haryana Health Minister affected by Coronavirus after 15 days of having been given first dose of ‘Covaxin’

Vaccine will be effective only after second dose is given! – claims Bharat Biotech

Ambala (Haryana) – Bharat Biotech has developed the ‘Covaxin’ vaccine againt Covid-19 and it is presently in the third stage of testing. Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij was given this vaccine 15 days ago. However, it has been revealed now that Vij is now Covid positive. He has been admitted to a hospital for treatment. Vij himself has given this information and requested all those who came in contact with him to get tested for the Coronavirus.

Clarifying on this issue, Bharat Biotech said, “In the clinical testing of Covaxin, two doses are administered with a gap of 28 days in between. The effectiveness of this vaccine can be known 14 days after the second dose is given. This vaccine will be effective only after both the doses are administered”.
