Man forces his doctor wife to embrace Islam

Central Govt. is required to make a nationwide law against such incidents!

Surguja (Chhattisgarh) – A woman named Madhumita Vishwas in Ambikapur has lodged a Police complaint against husband Amit Vishwas for forcing her to embrace Islam. Zee News has reported regarding this matter. Amit Vishwas is employed as the Data Entry Operator in Bhopal Nagarparishad, while Madhumita Vishwas is a Homeopathy Doctor by profession. Victim’s first husband had expired after few years of their marriage, following which she married Amit Vishwas on 5th October 2013.

1. Madhumita told that she is unaware when Amit embraced Islam; however, she came to know only when the accused demanded to name their daughter according to Islam. The accused is promoting Islam and also wish to rename their son in a Muslim style.
2. Madhumita said that she has been through Amit’s torture ever since she refused to embrace Islam. She has a 14-year-old son named Tanish.
3. Amit forced Madhumita to remove the pictures of Hindu deities kept in their home, failing which, he molested Madhumita. He also tried to kill her by cutting the kitchen’s gas pipeline on 19th November 2020.
4. Madhumita has alleged Amit of having extramarital affair with a Muslim woman.
