Ayodhya (UP) – Co-Founder of Bajrang Dal and former leader of BJP in Rajya Sabha, Mr. Vinay Katiyar said, “Though mission Ayodhya is now accomplished, the dispute about temples at Mathura and Kashi needs to be sorted out. Which mission of Kashi or Mathura should be handled first would be decided through discussions. I am born for the noble cause of constructing temples in Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura. We will think about Kashi and Mathura after the Bhoomipujan in Ayodhya. I was imprisoned since I participated in the agitation for Ayodhya though we were neither scared nor did we give up the mission”.
Discussions on Kashi and Mathura begin
Speaking to ‘Outlook’ magazine, Mr. Katiyar said, “Kashi and Mathura are of course on our agenda; however, this will still take a lot of time. We wish to make Kashi and Mathura encroachment-free like Ayodhya. The way mission Ayodhya is accomplished, mission Kashi and Mathura too will be completed. We are looking forward to a solution for the place for Vishwanath Temple in Kashi and Shrikrushna Temple in Mathura. Discussion are going on with the BJP leaders on the topic”.
Gyanvapi Mosque should be removed
Gyanvapi Mosque in Kashi and Shahi Idgah are protected under the ‘Places of Worship Act 1991’. When he was asked about this, Mr. Katiyar said, “Let it be, mosques will have to be removed from these places. We will see what happens in the future”.
