Nepal halts the embankment work, laying a claim on the Champaran territory

Champaran (Bihar) – Nepal has now claimed some areas of Motihari. Nepal has stopped the embankment work on the Lal Bakey river of the Dhaka block here. They are of the opinion that, “some area of this embankment comes under its boundary.” Nepal has made such a claim for the first time. After this, the Public Officer of Champaran has demanded a geological survey of this area. Due to this claim, the work of 400 meters out of this embankment of 2.5 km has been stopped.
