Nashik – Sexual harassment of Hindu women and pressure for conversion took place at the establishment of ‘Tata Consultancy Services’ (TCS) here. One of the victims, a 23-year-old female employee, narrated her experience. Since joining the establishment, she had to face a humiliating environment. Once, Shafi Shaikh came and sat next to her and started rubbing his legs against hers. Under the pretext of using the computer keyboard, he touched her private parts. Terrified by this, the victim immediately left the spot. After that, the accused laughed, rolled his eyes, and walked away. The accused employees remained bold as they received protection from their superiors. Derogatory remarks about Hindu religious scriptures and deities were also being made in front of the victim woman. Once, Asif Ansari stood in front of her, stared at her breasts, and made offensive sexual comments. Ansari and Tausif Attar would repeatedly stare at her body.
Anticipatory Bail Application of Danish Ejaz Shaikh Rejected
The court has rejected the anticipatory bail application of Danish Ejaz Shaikh, an employee of the same establishment. Shaikh is accused of hurting the religious sentiments of Hindu female employees.
