Tehran, Iran – During the remaining period of the ceasefire, the Strait of Hormuz will remain fully open, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has announced. The strait will be accessible to all commercial vessels. Araghchi clarified that this decision has been taken in the context of the ceasefire in Lebanon.

Iran’s Foreign Minister announced that, in line with the Lebanon ceasefire, all commercial vessels can now pass through the Strait of Hormuz for the remaining ceasefire period.

Donald Trump has also welcomed Iran’s decision. He posted “Thank you, Iran” on the social media platform Truth Social.

 

This announcement by Iran is expected to bring major relief to the world, including India.
